Cobra ergonomic training chair

Specializing in comprehensive furniture development, from concept to consumer

Your idea, our expertise

The Cobra chair's journey began with a vision to improve the school environment with ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing furniture. In collaboration with renowned design studio Hans Thyge & Co. and Labofa A/S (now part of HolmrisB8), Scancastor set out to transform this vision into a tangible product.

Design collaboration: Construct, discuss, refine

Our in-house engineering team worked closely with the designers to construct a chair that not only stands out in form, but also excels in function. Through a series of discussions and improvements, the Cobra chair design was perfected to meet the ergonomic needs of educational environments.

Prototyping: Prototyping and testing

Scancastor developed prototypes and subjected the Cobra chair to extensive testing. Designed to provide optimal support and flexibility, the chair's unique backrest was thoroughly evaluated to ensure it met our high ergonomic standards and could withstand the rigors of the school environment.

Quality assurance: Quality control and end product

Every component of the Cobra chair, from the die-cast aluminum parts to the furniture castors, went through Scancastor's strict quality control process. The plastic shells, produced in our own injection molding factory, were carefully examined to guarantee premium quality.

Excellent production: Start mass production

Once the prototype was approved, Scancastor started mass-producing parts for the Cobra chair. Our specialization in furniture components, especially for chairs, ensured that each piece was manufactured to perfection.

Manage the entire supply chain

Scancastor did not stop at production. We took responsibility for the entire supply chain, assembling the final chairs and managing distribution from our warehouse in Denmark, ensuring a seamless process from production to delivery.

Sustainable innovation: Scancastor's recycled plastic material

The Cobra office chair is not only about smart design, but also about smart materials. We are proud to say that this chair contains Scancastor's recycled plastic material, making sustainability a comfortable reality. By choosing recycled plastic, we're not just making a chair, we're making a statement. Every seat is a step towards a greener planet, and with Scancastor you are part of the eco-friendly journey.

The Cobra chair: A synthesis of form and function

Named for its dynamic and elegant backrest, the Cobra chair gives classrooms a unique character. Designed by the talented Hans Thyge & Co. and Hans Sandgren Jakobsen, the chair is a testament to the power of imagination and the importance of ergonomic design in educational furniture.
